On our first trip to Peru there was a man outside our hotel in Cusco who painted original copies of famous 14th Century angel paintings. Leafing through his book each became more beautiful than the one before. It was almost impossible for us to decide which we liked best, so each time we return we collect a few more of the exquisite oil on canvas paintings. The colors are deep, rich and highlighted with gold. Our photographs cannot capture the detail and depth of the paintings.

It is believed angels are supernatural beings of pure spirit.. We have chosen to offer four of the most revered archangels.

Ariel whose name means fire of God is the angel of new beginnings, salvation and the angel who assists Raphael in curing disease.

Raphael is the archangel who brings healing to all living beings. Raphael grants joy, love, miracles and grace. He inspires and guides us to take outward and inward journeys and gives us the courage to do so.

Michael is the chief archangel. He grants miracles, fosters mercy, truth, blessing, patience and love. Michael is the protector of those who are good and just. Michael, like Gabriel, is one of the most commonly depicted angels.

Gabriel is the angel of aspirations, bringer of news and maker of change. He grants wishes, as well as joy, mercy, understanding of mysteries, truth, justice, miracles and love. Gabriel is the angel of the moon who brings man the gift of hope. He is the spirit of truth and justice.
